Summary:

This article is about debating on how reliable the Implicit Bias Test is. But first, we will get to know how Implicit Bias Test has been in common among the society. Every human’s creation has made, there is always a group of people who will be for or against. But in this case, a conflict will be made between Hart Blanton and two others expert. Along the text, they will try to justify their point of view on this tool but at the end it will lead to nowhere.

Reaction:

For me, I was quite confused along the text because I thought that it wasn’t really clear enough or maybe it was because of the English’s level that the author has used in the article. Moreover, this test didn’t seem to be really reliable because we are just choosing answers as soon quick as we can and sometimes we know the answer but falsely. Honestly, I felt like the author was having a neutral opinion on the measurement, but it seemed also like the author was oriented in the side of the others two expert.

Questions:

How can rapidity be a part of the criteria in order to know if we have an implicit bias?
How can implicit bias have anything to do with changes in a person’s behaviour?
If the test couldn’t predict itself, how will the inventor solve this matter?
Since a person’s score can vary significantly, how the expert will solve this problem?
If this debate doesn’t lead to anywhere, how should we conclude, will this test measure Implicit Bias or not?
