Summary:

This article is about defining the term fake news and distinguishing the different types of it. First of all, the fact that the word “fake news, and its related words appeared in the dictionary indicated how much pervasive it has become. Moreover, fake news has spread more and more in the media, that’s why this article will suggest you some methods to decode the authenticity of online news by interrogating the author, the content, the design, the regularity of posting and the source. Lastly, it will help on understanding the purpose behind all of the fake news. 

Reaction: 

Honestly, I was quite suprised that the related terms of fake news have recently appeared in the dictionary  since I thought that it was already a common thing before 2016. Moreover, the fact that fake news is rapidly spreading in media, didn’t shock me at all because we are exposed to it everyday, since some people want to influence the others or trying to cause problems.  


Questions: 

Aren’t there any regulations on fake news? What group of people are likely to fail on decoding fake news? 
What types of topics make a fake news more reliable and believable? Does our cultural background effect on believing fake news or not? If yes, how?

But, you can have a look on their Facebook Page 😊 Summary: This article is about a video that has been circulated on social media where we can see a 9-year-old boy being roped onto a motorcycle by a shopkeeper. The woman identified in the video came out to apologize and asked to refrain from attacking her and her family. Moreover, she called on social media users to stop sharing videos and photos of the incident. The police apprehended the incident and she justified herself that this little boy has stolen items in her shops three times. Indeed, this little boy didn’t tell her who his parents were.
